10 Important foods for Breastfeeding Mothers.

Nature has placed in mother’s milk the basic nutrients that are necessary for the physical and mental development of the baby. Because the mother’s diet in the form of milk affects the health of the baby. Therefore, in order to provide adequate nutrition to the baby, the mother should eat small amounts of healthy food several times a day which can increase the mother’s milk and health.



PORRIDGE is a complete food for the mother after childbirth. The fiber in it relieves constipation. Although it is low in calories, it restores energy quickly and reduces the chances of maternal diabetes.Eating a cup of porridge for breakfast makes more breast milk throughout the day.


Most breastfeeding mothers suffer from anemia. Green leafy vegetables (spinach, mustard, duckweed, fenugreek soy) are very beneficial foods for them. Spinach contains ingredients that protect against breast cancer.

(3). CARROTS🥕.

Vitamin A in 🥕 carrots enhances the properties of breast milk. It is better to cook carrots in milk and take it in soup or juice.


After the birth of a child, most mothers suffer from anxiety, nervousness and mental stress. The use of poppy is useful for such women. Once a day, a small amount of poppy can be eaten. Poppy can be used in porridge and pudding. Can be done.


For breastfeeding mothers, it is better to use brown rice instead of white rice. Brown rice is useful for balancing the hormones of breastfeeding mothers, increasing appetite and restoring instant energy.

(6). CUMIN.

Consumption of proper amount of cumin enhances breast milk. It not only helps in melting excess fat but also relieves constipation and heartburn and also reduces appetite.



FENNEL is better in all respects. It not only increases the mother’s milk but also relieves the abdominal pain of the baby by boiling fennel in milk.

(9).COW’s MILK 🥛

For breastfeeding mothers, cow’s milk is very beneficial instead of buffalo’s milk.


All over the world, FENUGREEK and fenugreek seeds are considered to be the foods that increase breast milk. FENUGREEK contains B vitamins, iron, beta carotene and omega-3. Fenugreek can be used in the form of fenugreek tea, fenugreek porridge, fenugreek greens and fenugreek pratha.


(1).The mother should not diet from the time the baby is born until the age of breastfeeding. On the contrary, some experts even say that breastfeeding mothers should use ghee and other dairy products without hesitation.

(2).BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS should not worry about calories but should also do light exercise at the same time.

(3). Breastfeeding mothers should not stay on an empty stomach for too long.

(4).BREASTFEEDING MOTHERS should eat unpeeled vegetables and fruits * (spinach, carrots, tomatoes, strawberries, apples, grapes and peaches) thoroughly washed and eaten.

(5).Excessive amounts of caffeine (tea, coffee and cold drinks) can be harmful for breastfeeding mothers.
If the baby has any kind of allergy, infection (chest tightness, skin spots) then the mother should be careful in consuming foods like (hot chili spices, cold water, cold rice and chocolate).

(6).Raw mangoes, lentils, potatoes, raw bananas produce gas in the baby’s stomach, so breastfeeding mothers should not eat these foods .
